DALTON MUELLER NORTH BEND HIGH SCHOOL Week. Dalton Mueller is the Athlete of the The Midland University wrestling recruit helped North Bend to a third-place finish on Saturday at the 49th Annual High Plains Invitational in Columbus. Mueller boosted the Tigers to a thirdplace finish in the 20-team tournament. Wahoo won the meet, followed by Battle Creek. North Bend finished just 5.5 points out of second place. In the 182-pound division, Mueller received byes in the first three rounds. He then pinned Conner Brown of Adams Central in 3:36 and Xavier Vaughn of Omaha Creighton Prep in 3:03. In the quarterfinals, the senior made quick work of Justin Kuta of Palmer as he GET IN THEGAME with our Athlete of the Week Sponsored by pinned him in :29. Mueller then earned a 10-5 decision over Matthew Feldner of Kearney Catholic to advance to the championship match. In the finals, Muller pinned Kole Bordovsky of Wahoo High in 4:45. Mueller was one of three champions for the Tigers. He was joined by Zach Borer (160) and Joel Hines (170). Teammate Brock Ray was the runner-up at 195.
