All business and agricultural owners who own or lease depreciable tangible personal property on Jan. 1, 2018, must file a personal property return with the Dodge County Assessor’s Office by May 1, 2018, along with a copy of your IRS Depreciation Worksheet.

All personal property returns filed on or before the May 1, 2018, deadline may be eligible to receive an exemption up to $10,000 off the value of their personal property return. Failure to timely file your return will result in a waiver of the any exemption.

Penalties for late-filed returns: 10 percent penalty will be added to returns filed after May 1 and before July 1, 2018; 25 percent penalty will be added to returns filed on or after July 1, 2018.

Personal Property owners who filed last year can access their returns on-line at: www.dodgerealproperty.nebraska.gov.
