PLATTSMOUTH – Rainy weather didn’t damper a sunny anniversary inside the Comper Care Outpatient Clinic in Plattsmouth Saturday afternoon.
Employees with the facility celebrated their second anniversary in Plattsmouth with a variety of activities. The event featured live music, door prizes, free physical therapy consultations, blood pressure screenings and a host of refreshments.
Comper Care Outpatient Clinic Director Kris Lausterer said he was happy to hold the celebration with local residents. Many of those in attendance had been treated by Lausterer or other clinic employees over the past two years. Multiple other local residents joined them as well throughout the afternoon.
“I’ve been really pleased with the turnout,” Lausterer said. “With the rain today I wasn’t sure how many would come, but we’ve had at least 25 to 30 people come already and it’s only halfway through. It’s very exciting to have this level of support from the community.”
Lausterer said the two-level facility next to the Plattsmouth Eagles Club building has been a positive home for the company. The main level features room for both occupational and physical therapy sessions. The lower level gives sports rehabilitation patients a place to treat their injuries. Comper Care also hosts tai chi classes in the lower level of the building.
“We’re definitely happy to be here in Plattsmouth,” Lausterer said. “It’s been so much fun getting to know all of our patients, and we’ve been very pleased with our facility and how we’ve been able to use it to serve everyone. These past two years have been good ones.”
