OMAHA – Multiple Cass County students will showcase their musical abilities on the stage of the Holland Performing Arts Center next month.

Students from Conestoga, Louisville, Plattsmouth and Weeping Water have been selected for spots in the University of Nebraska-Omaha Band, Orchestra and Choir Honor (BOCH) Festival. BOCH Festival activities will take place in Omaha Jan. 26-28. A public concert featuring more than 300 high school students will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Holland Performing Arts Center.

Students who auditioned for the BOCH Festival with their instruments were placed in either the Honor Wind Ensemble or Honor Band. Orchestra students were assigned to the Honor Orchestra and vocal students were given parts in the Honor Choir. Students in each group will attend rehearsals and classes throughout the festival weekend.
