DC’s Waterhole is hosting its 10th Annual Soup Cook-off 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24. No entry fee is required but 10 percent of sales will be donated to Walk Multiple Sclerosis.
Plattsmouth Power Days
Plattsmouth Power Days are scheduled Monday, Feb. 19, with a movie and more activities, and March 9, with Wall Climbing and more activities. Lunch is provided in the $5 per student cost.
Omaha Performing Arts and Plattsmouth Middle School Blue Devil Academy will present “101 Dalmatians” at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Plattsmouth High School Auditorium.
Pack the Pantry
Nebraska Title is presenting Pack the Pantry, a food drive through Feb. 16 benefiting the Plattsmouth Early Childhood Center Headstart program. Drop off location is Nebraska Title Company, 2020 Eighth Ave. Suite A, Plattsmouth.
Nominations are being sought for the Superintendent’s Award. These are presented to certified employees, non-certified employees, transportation employees, and nutrition service employees that display exceptional customer service in the actions and behavior to continue the district’s tradition of excellence. Monthly nominations started February 2018. Deadline for nominations is the last business day of each month. Anyone (students, parents, staff members, parents, community, etc) may nominate. Nomination forms should be sent as an attachment to Superintendent Dr. Richard Hasty at email@example.com.
See Historical Re-Enactor Darrel Draper portray Theodore Roosevelt, Rough Rider President, 1 p.m. Feb. 19 at St. John’s School. The performance is open to the public.
Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce is looking for Miss Plattsmouth 2018. The winner receives a $500 scholarship and competes in the Cass County Queen pageant. Applications are available by emailing Cindy at firstname.lastname@example.org or at the High School front desk.
