USDA Rural Development Office Day,
Do you want to own a home? Does your home need repairs? USDA Rural Development holds an office day at the Plattsmouth Public Library on the second Thursday of each month from 9:30 a.m.to 4 p.m.
Single Family Housing Specialist Rebecca Adams will be available to assist those who are seeking to own a rural home or already own a rural home that is in need of repairs. Schedule an appointment with Rebecca for Thursday, March 8, by calling 402-437-5748 or emailing email@example.com .
Innovation Studio Showcase,
The makers of the Plattsmouth community will be displaying the items they've made with the Innovation Studio equipment at the Showcase on Tuesday, March 13, on the upper level of the library. Items made on the CNC router, 3-D printer, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, embroidery machine, heat press, and other equipment will be on display from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., but the makers will be available 6-7 p.m. to talk about their projects or answer questions. This will be a great opportunity to get ideas for last minute projects since the equipment will be moving on to the next library participating in the project during the week of March 26.
There's still time to schedule training and make your own creations by calling the library at 402-296-4154 x24. The library is also seeking comments from those who have used the equipment to guide the library in purchasing the components that have generated the most interest. Contact Karen Mier at extension 23 with comments.
