The District 6 Probation Office in Fremont is relocating to 2860 W 23rd St. to meet the needs of the current office. The new space, being purchased for $350,000, will be occupied in mid-December.

Fremont man arrested for violating protection order

A Fremont man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly violating a protection order, Fremont Police reported.

Officers were dispatched at 1:30 p.m. to the 600 block of West 23rd Street in regard to a verbal argument taking place.

Upon arrival, an investigation determined Donald P. Schaefer, 56, was not allowed to have contact with the person whom he was having the dispute with.

Schaefer was arrested and transported to the 24-hour Dodge County Jail holding facility.
