Gallery 92 West (92 W. Sixth St., Fremont): Tracy Gallery – “The Legacy of Nebraska” paintings by Todd Williams, through Dec. 30. Hinds Gallery – Adrienne Herbert, Nancy O’Connor and Patty Wilson mixed media, through Dec. 30. Admission: Free. Hours: 1-4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (724 S. 12th St., Omaha): “Monarchs: Brown and Native Contemporary Artists in the Path of the Butterfly,” through Feb. 24. The exhibit features 37 local and national artists.

Admission: Free. Hours: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

Gallery 72 (1806 Vinton St.): “Stuart Bay in 3D,” through Jan. 6. This show focuses on the three dimensional assemblages and sculptures that Bay created from found objects over his lifetime.

Great Plains Art Museum (1155 Q St., Lincoln): “Collection Critters,” through Feb. 16. All types of Great Plains animals from bison to horses and cranes to dogs will appear in sculpture, prints, photographs and paintings. “Collecting Nebraska,” through Dec. 16. The exhibit features artwork from the permanent collection that depict Nebraska or were created by Nebraska artists.

Admission: Free. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 1:30-5 p.m. Sunday.

Joslyn Art Museum (2200 Dodge St., Omaha): “Marks of Genius: 100 Extraordinary Drawings from the Minneapolis Institute of Art,” through Jan. 7. The exhibition features pen and ink studies, chalk drawings, watercolors and pastels that explore a wide range of subject matter, including depictions from nature, portraits, mythological scenes and landscapes. ”Travels with Brian Floca,” through Jan. 14. This retrospective exhibition features the original art from Caldecott Medal-winning artist Brian Floca.

Admission: Free. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; closed Mondays and major holidays. Ticketed exhibition admission: $10 for adults, free for youth ages 17 and younger.

KANEKO (1111 Jones St., Omaha): Light Exhibition, through March 30. The interactive and visual art experience explores art and science.

Admission: Free ($5 suggested donation). Hours: noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.

LUX Center for the Arts (2601 N. 48th St., Lincoln): “Gifted: Annual Winter Show,” through Dec. 24. The large gallery will be transformed into a holiday shop with new art and fine craft from local, regional, national and international artists.

Admission: Free. Hours: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. first Friday.

Sheldon Museum of Art (12th and R streets, Lincoln): “Family Style,” through Dec. 31. Objects are drawn from Sheldon’s collection to offer unique perspectives on marriage, parenthood, family life and genealogy. “Sheldon Treasures,” through Dec. 31. The rotating gallery installation will feature some of Sheldon’s most important and best-known objects.
