Lancaster County Sheriff's deputies arrested an Iowa man Friday after finding 114 pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop near Lincoln.

A deputy saw the 2014 Chevy Impala that Joseph Sierra-Quezada was driving east fail to signal a lane change near the south U.S. 77 exit just before 11 a.m., Capt. Ben Houchin said.

The deputy spoke to Sierra-Quezada and smelled marijuana in the car and saw marijuana edibles, Houchin said.

During a search of the car, the deputy found several large duffel bags containing raw marijuana in heat-sealed packages, he said.

The deputy also seized a THC vaporizer and cartridges.

Investigators believe Sierra-Quezada was planning to bring the marijuana back to Iowa, Houchin said.
