The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce offers training and education on topics based on member business and community needs though Chamber YOUniversity sessions.
The session, The Essential Framework for Managers, is presented by Dale Carnegie Training and will take place 8 a.m.-noon Aug. 15 at Midland University's Private Dining Rooms located at Ninth and Logan streets. This session is recommended for executives or managers with direct reports.
The immediate supervisor is tasked to attract, retain, and prepare the people around them. He or she connects an employee to senior management and vice versa, becoming the primary conduit for the flow of information within an organization.
The theme of this session is “What can I do” to encourage engaged employees and the skills covered will assist in areas including:
* Putting 30 proven behavioral improvement ideas into use.
* Using communications as a call to action tool.
* Defining your role as a “coach.”
* Building relationships with your direct reports to increase engagement.
