A Fremont man was arrested for disorderly conduct following an assault complaint investigation on Wednesday, according to the Fremont Police Department.

Police say that at approximately 5 p.m., 26-year-old Tyrai S. Chiles of Fremont was arrested for disorderly conduct after police responded to an assault complaint in the 1600 block of west 11th Street.

According to the Fremont Police Department, Chiles was not involved in the alleged assault, but he was at the scene and observed by officers to be belligerent, including yelling, threatening others, and using profanity in public.

Police say Chiles did not comply with officers’ requests to stop, which led to him being placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.
