A Fremont man was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop for driving on a suspended license on Friday.
According to the Fremont Police Department, at approximately 11:30 a.m. Justin E. Abney, 28, of Fremont was arrested following a traffic stop in the 2300 block of north Lincoln Avenue.
Abney was stopped after he was observed operating a motor vehicle by a Fremont Police officer who knew Abney’s license was suspended.
Upon contact with Abney, the officer observed the odor of marijuana emanating from Abner’s vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded marijuana in a glass jar and drug paraphernalia including a digital scale and rolling papers.
As a result of the investigation, Abney was charged with driving during suspension, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
