Law enforcement responded to an act of criminal mischief and a theft Thursday, Fremont Police reported.
Officers were dispatched at 3:55 p.m. to a business located in the 800 block of east 23rd Street in regard to the theft of a black bag from a vehicle which contained a variety of miscellaneous items. The victim's window was smashed which allowed entry into the vehicle, police said. The estimated loss is $200.
At 11:49 p.m. officers responded to the 800 block of South Broad Street in regard to a vehicle window being smashed out by an unknown person or persons.
The investigation is ongoing and the estimated damage is $500.
