A Fremont man was arrested and charged with DUI after getting into a single-car accident on Saturday, according to the Fremont Police Department.
According to information released by the department, at approximately 2:30 a.m. officers responded to a single-car property damage accident in the 1100 block of North D Street.
When officers arrived they observed male driver in the car who appeared to be passed out, and also noted alcoholic beverages in the car. The driver was awakened by police and identified as Benjamin F. Caldwell, 34, of Fremont.
According to the Fremont Police Department, Caldwell showed signs of impairment consistent with the consumption of alcoholic beverages and he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence with blood alcohol content of 0.150. The legal limit in Nebraska is 0.08.
