4th Annual Fremont Family YMCA Craft & Vendor Fair, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fremont Family YMCA’s indoor tennis courts. The event will feature over 130 vendors. Concessions will be available. Admission is free.

Coffee & Donut Festival, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Hotel RL, 3321 S. 72nd St., Omaha. Visitors are invited to enjoy all things coffee and donuts as they venture through themed coffee lounges while sipping their coffee or adult beverage and listening to live music from local bands. There also will be photo ops, kids activities and unique fun like latte art, jelly donut wrestling, a donut eating contest and more. Tickets range from $16 to $36 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.

Arts & Crafts Show, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mid-America Center, Council Bluffs, Iowa. Admission is $5 and children 10 and younger are admitted free.

Opening of “Forever Forest” exhibit, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Omaha Children’s Museum. Exploring the realities of forests through play, this exhibit includes a tree top climber, a realistic mini replica of a Union Pacific engine, a kid-sized home kids can help build and more. The exhibit will be on display through April 15. Admission is $12 for adults and kids, $11 for seniors and free for children under age 2.

Photography show, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area Group Lodge. To participate, print your best photo taken at Fremont Lakes during 2017. Matting/framing is optional. Label the photo with their name and age group (10 and under, 11-18, adult) and drop it off at the park office. A park entry permit is required.

Last Chance Fishing Clinic, 10 a.m., DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge, near Blair. Guests are invited to enjoy one last fishing outing before DeSoto Lake closes for the season on Sunday. Rods and bait will be provided, or bring your own. Kids younger than 16 can fish without a license.

Opening of “Let’s Go to Town for Boys Town” exhibit, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Durham Museum, Omaha. This exhibition, which will be on display through Jan. 21, explores the organization’s history from its beginnings in a rundown mansion at 25th and Dodge streets with only five young boys through the 1930s with a major motion picture production featuring its history, to today, providing assistance to children and families across the nation each year. Admission is $11 for adults, $8 for seniors, $7 for children 3-12 and free for children age 2 and under.

Opening of “Travels with Brian Floca” exhibit, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha. This retrospective exhibition features the original art from Caldecott Medal-winning artist Brian Floca. The exhibit will be on display through Jan. 14. Admission is free.

Opening of the Benefit Art Auction Exhibition, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Omaha. The exhibit unites local and national artists with Omaha’s growing community of art patrons. All artwork is available for purchase at “buy it now” prices. The exhibition will be on display through Oct. 27. Admission is free.

Camp Fontanelle Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze, 1-7 p.m., Camp Fontanelle. Other activities include a petting barn, zipline rides, laser tag in the maze, hayrack rides, a children’s barrel train and more. Entrance fees are free for 2 and under, $5 for ages 3-11 and $7 for ages 17 and up. There is an additional charge for zipline and laser tag. A full concession stand also is available.

Halloween Bash, 1-4 p.m., Learning Express, 1612 N. Bell St., Fremont. There will be a costume contest from 1-2 p.m. and an opportunity to meet Paw Patrol’s Chase from 2:30-4 p.m. Free treat bags will be given to the first 100 kids.

Skull-Skins-Skeletons, 2 p.m., Group Lodge, Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area. Guests can get ready for trick-or-treating with nature activities with a Halloween tie-in. They also can see the photography show.

Fremont Artisan Market, 3-9 p.m., green space behind The May Brothers Building, Fifth Street and Park Avenue, Fremont. Admission is free.

Halloween Campsite Decorating Contest and Trick-or-Treating, 5-7 p.m., Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area. Everyone who is participating in the contest is asked to bring candy for the kids. First prize is two nights of free camping while second prize is one night of free camping. A part entry permit is required.

Spooktacular, 5:30-8:30 p.m., Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. There will be ghoulishly fun games, live entertainment, a character meet and greet and more. Attendees are asked to bring their own trick-or-treat bag to fill with candy and other goodies. Dave Anderson and Roger Walck, 6 p.m., Salem Lutheran Church, 401 E. Military Ave., Fremont. Their music is a blend of contemporary gospel, hymns and lots of old-time Sunday school songs. During the concert, Anderson will share from his personal experiences from having traveled 4,000,000 miles over the past 35 years of concert ministry. A freewill offering will be received.

Healthy Trick or Treat Night, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Omaha Children’s Museum. Children can collect healthy treats at various stations throughout the museum, get their picture taken with characters and enjoy a safe and fun night of play. Halloween Hysteria, 5-7 p.m., downtown Fremont. Children and their families are invited to trick-or-treat at participating downtown businesses. Judging for the children’s costume contest will begin at 5:45 p.m. at the May Brothers Building, Sixth Street and Park Avenue. There will be face painting and Halloween story time at Gallery 92 West, a Haunted Bank for Kids at First National Bank and free spooky photos at VW Photo. All of the events are free.

Hamburgers and broccoli cheese soup, 5:30-7 p.m., Fremont Eagles Club. A beer tasting party will start at 5:30 p.m. and the cost is $5 per person at the bar.
