Aina Z. Dambro, 83, of Fremont died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, surrounded by her family.

She immigrated to the United States in 1951 with three of her children. She lived in Lincoln where she worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and then moved to Fremont. She married Adolfs Dambro on Oct. 17, 1953. He died July 26, 2009. She was employed by Campbell Soup Company and then Pendleton Woolen Mills until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Schmitz (Mitch) of Fremont, and their children, Lexi and Ally Kimball and Matthew and Kari Schmitz; and daughter, Ilga Dambro of Omaha; son, Gunt Dambro (Connie) of Cheyenne, Wyo., and his children, Amy, Zac, and Erin; and son, Indy Dambro (JoEllen) of Emporia, Kan., and his children, Ryan and Megan.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont with the Rev. Delvin Hutton officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

A memorial has been established to Salem Lutheran Church.
