Clifford J. "Jerry" Rotert, 63, of Fremont passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, in his residence at Nye Pointe.

Jerry was born Feb. 20, 1950, to William and Lenore (Roberts) Rotert in Lincoln. He graduated from high school in Lincoln. Clifford was employed at a grocery store, worked for the railroad, a packing house, he sold insurance, and was a chef in restaurants, and managed both The Coffee Pot and King's restaurants.

Jerry married Bonnie Bohanan on May 13, 1997, in Columbus.

Jerry enjoyed occasionally going to the casinos, he always enjoyed cooking, and loved to travel with his wife Bonnie.

Survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Rotert of Fremont; mother, Lenore Rotert of Lincoln; daughters, Micki (Brett) Dufoe and Michelle Adam of Arizona; son, Cory (Melissa) Rotert of Lincoln; stepson, Michael (Deb) Bohanan of Fremont; sister, Pam Rotert of Lincoln; brother, John Rotert of Lincoln; six grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Rotert, and stepchildren, Patricia "Patty" Bohanan and Jeffrey Bohanan.

The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Dugan Funeral Chapel in Fremont. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.

Memorials have been established to the Diabetes Foundation.
