FREMONT — Daniel James Barger, 56, of Fremont passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at his home in Fremont.
Daniel was born May 22, 1961, in Osceola, Iowa, to Jim and Lucretia (Hisler) Barger. In 1979, Daniel graduated from high school at East Dubuque, Illinois. He received his college degree in conservation and outdoor recreation from Wabash Valley Community College in Southern Illinois. He resided in Woodward, Iowa, before moving to Fremont. Daniel was employed by Fremont Grain and was a certified grain inspector.
Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. One of his passions was photographing the outdoors and wilderness.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Jim and Lucretia; sister, Debbie Barger; brother, Doug (Theresa) Barger and their children, James, Carson, Whitney, Madison, and Kennedy, all of Woodward, Iowa.
Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his uncle, Tom Hisler.
No funeral services are planned at this time. Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of local arrangements.
