James E. Stoneking, 63, of Fremont died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.
He was born Nov. 27, 1948, in Cherokee, Iowa, to William G. and Judith (Olson) Stoneking. At a young age, he came to Fremont and attended Fremont schools. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked at the North Bend Lumber Company for a few years. He had been employed by Oilgear in Fremont for ten years.
He is survived by a daughter, Samantha (Josh) Rowles of Washington State; mother, Judith Stoneking; sisters, Kathleen (Steve) Raddatz and Denise (Bill) Newlon all of Fremont.
He is preceded in death by his father, and brother, William Lee Stoneking.
A private family graveside service will be held at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Military graveside service will be conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 854 and American Legion Post 20. There is no visitation.
Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
