JoAnn L. Schroll, 58, of Ravenna died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at her home north of Ravenna.
She was born Nov. 3, 1954, in Lynch to Clarence and Mary (Courtney) Kolund. When she was 10 years old, the family moved to Fremont. She graduated from Fremont High School. She worked as an aide at Fremont Area Medical Center where she met her future husband.
She married Ronald L. Schroll on June 29, 1974, in Scribner. They moved to Ravenna where Ronald farmed with his father and brother.
JoAnn worked with Ron on the farm and in their insurance agency. She was a Mary Kay representative in the early 1980s. She received her LPN degree from Kearney State College. She worked at long-term nursing homes including, Mount Carmel in Kearney, A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont and the Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna.
Survivors include: her husband, Ron of Ravenna; son, Matthew Schroll of Ravenna; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tom Hoffart of Kearney; her mother of Fremont; sisters and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Fred Blevins of Omaha and Donna Eckhart of Fremont; brothers and sister-in-law, Gene Kolund of Trumbull and Bruce and Donna Kolund of Fremont; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and brother-in-law.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ravenna with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating. A wake service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna.
