FREMONT -- Larry F. Betts, age 77, of Fremont passed away Nov. 10, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.

He became maintenance supervisor in 1970 and retired in 2000 after 33 years.
Larry enjoyed sports. Nebraska football, and his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting activities. He played on a slow pitch softball league for years. Larry also coached junior high girls’ softball and he bowled on several leagues through. He took up golf and enjoyed singing. His son-in-law, Ed, introduced him to the Pathfinder Chorus and he enjoyed it so much he joined them in 1991. Square dancing was another activity he and Sharon enjoyed. He loved the outdoors and camping. In 2005, Larry and Sharon embarked on their ultimate dream of being snow-birds. They traveled to every corner of the United States spending winters in the warmer parts of the country.
He was the proud father of son, Tony, wife Susan; and daughter Dawnella, husband Ed Thilliander. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Erin, Amber, Craig, Ryan and Andrew; and one great-granddaughter, Kloe.
