Mardell L. Bokowski, 81, of Fremont passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Nye Legacy Health & Rehab Center in Fremont after a brief illness resulting from a stroke.
She was born May 25, 1930, in Oakland to Henry and Aagot (Gaarder) Klebe. She was the oldest of six children. She grew up in Hooper and graduated from Hooper High School in 1947. Mardell Klebe married Dale Cline on May 29, 1948, in Hooper. Dale died June 28, 1978. She married Stanley Bokowski on Oct. 5, 1990, and Stanley died Feb. 19, 2011. She was an Avon representative for over 25 years.
Mardell was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be missed by all.
Survivors include: a son, Steve (and wife, Mary) Cline of Lincoln; daughters, Vickie (and husband, David) Moles of Anchorage, Alaska, Susan (and husband, Kirk) Martens of Fremont and Lori (and husband, Bob) Smith of Fremont; brothers, Dennis and Richard Klebe of Fremont; a sister, Marcedes Egbers of Sioux Falls, S.D.; eight grandchildren, Eric Moles of Salt Lake City, Chad Moles of Bend, Ore., Ben and Troy Martens of Lincoln, Kelsey and Drew Smith of Fremont and Jacob and Alicia Cline of Lincoln; and a great-grandchild, David Chandler Moles of Salt Lake City.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beverly Walraven; and a brother, Robert Klebe.
The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Fremont with the Rev. Matt Knopf officiating. There is no viewing, however, friends may sign the register book from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The book signing will continue one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church. Private burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
