FREMONT — Ronald J. Wragge, age 71, of Fremont, formerly of Hooper, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at his home.
Ronald was born Dec. 22, 1945, in Osmond to William and Irma (Krohn) Wragge. He was raised and farmed in the Bloomfield and Osmond area and attended Bloomfield schools. He married Karon Vogel on June 8, 1968, in Plainview. The couple lived in Bloomfield, Osmond and Orchard before moving to Hooper in 1971. While living in Hooper, Ronald worked for Hoegemeyer Hybrids for 45 years.
Ronald was a member of the Lions Club, Jaycees and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooper. He also was a member of the Lutheran Laymen’s League and coached Little League baseball. At his death, Ronald was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Scribner where he served as an elder. He loved farm sales and visiting with people.
Survivors include: his wife, Karon of Fremont; sons, Todd (Crystal) Wragge of Bruning and their child, Stephanie(Greg) Becker, Troy (Megan) Wragge of West Point and their children, McKenzie, Gabrielle, and Lauren, Trent (Cindy) Wragge of Hooper and their children, Kinleigh and Maryn, and Treavor (Michaela) Wragge of Omaha and their children, Taytum and Emersyn; sisters, Sharon (Gene) Carstens of Schuyler and Janelle (Les) Carlow of Colonial Heights, Virginia; brothers, Dave (Marlene) Wragge of Bloomfield and Kenneth (Kandi) Wragge of Creston; sister-in-law, Deb Wragge of Creighton.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Teresa; and brother, Wayne.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Bruce Schut will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hooper Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Visitation will be Wednesday at Ludvigsen’s Hooper Funeral Chapel from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
