Midland Warrior

A veteran coach has been chosen to lead the Midland University women’s lacrosse program.

Brandon Brackett comes to MU after spending the past six years coaching teams in Colorado and Oklahoma. He is a former member of the United States Army, having served from 2006-2010 in active duty and 2010-2013 in the reserves.

In addition to coaching club lacrosse in Colorado, Brackett also coached at Lutheran High School in Parker and at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch. In 2015 he was on the women’s lacrosse coaching staff at Oklahoma Baptist University helping guide the Bison to a 10-4 record.

Brackett is a native of New Hampshire where he grew up playing club lacrosse as well as high school lacrosse at Dover High School.

He played two years of college lacrosse at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, New York before enlisting. In 2016 he returned to the field as a student at Saint Gregory’s University in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Brackett earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Southwestern College (Kan.) and also has a Master’s Degree in Divinity from the Denver Seminary. He is currently pursuing a PhD.
