Fremont High School finished second recently in the Columbus Freshmen Boys Track Invitational.
Millard West edged the Tigers by 1.5 points for the team championship.
Mark Mendoza of the Tigers won the pole vault by clearing 10-6 and also took top honors in the 195-meter hurdles (27.6). He also finished second in the 110-meter high hurdles (17.9).
Owen Wagner finished first in the 1,600 meters (4:50.66) and the 3,200 meters (10:41.84). Boone Gray won the discus (132-9) and placed second in the shot put (38-2).
"All three competed great and set (personal records) in nearly every event, which was especially impressive considering the high winds," Fremont coach Sean McMahon said.
