ARLINGTON -- Junior Elly Larson had 16 kills and Kyla Swanson added eight to boost Wahoo High to a 25-17, 25-17, 25-23 win over Arlington on Tuesday night.
"Due to illnesses and injuries, we had a tough battle," Arlington coach Heather Mueller said. "The younger girls on the team overcame their nerves and improved their passes and digs tremendously as the sets went on."
Shelby Kaup led the Eagles with nine kills and two aces while Lauren Clapper added six kills. Jordyn Werth finished with 13 digs. Emily Kraemer had 10 digs.
"We appreciate the leadership of Shelby and Jordyn for stepping in and helping out the players who were in new spots or different situations tonight," Mueller said.
Kinsley Tingelhoff had 36 set assists for Wahoo, 6-0.
The Eagles, 2-4, play Saturday in the Stanton Tournament.
