An epilepsy support group continues in Fremont. The adult only group is focused on learning, coping and living with epilepsy. The group meets at Methodist Fremont in the first floor Dunklau Conference Room every fourth Tuesday of each month. There is no cost to attend.

The meeting is intended for those living with epilepsy and for their family and caretakers. Each meeting hosts a guest speaker who are medical professionals including doctors, counselors, dieticians and other people who work in the epilepsy field. Discussions with each other in the group follows.

“Just speaking with each other about knowing what you are going through, and what you are living with, is the focus of this support group,” says Cindy Mumm, group organizer and mother to an adult child living with epilepsy. “It’s important for people to feel that they don’t have to face this medical issue alone.”

If you would like more information for this support group, please contact the Methodist Fremont Community Health Department at 402-727-3439.
