On the move

Many activities along Main Street and other locations are great examples of a community on the move. At the Community Center on Friday, March 1, the Miller Family fund-raiser was well attended - a tribute to the outstanding planning and execution of the activity by its volunteers.

Quart House

Poker night at The Quart House Pub continues with more than 25 players establishing this activity and location as the place to be on either Friday or Saturday evenings from 7-10 p.m. The annual soup cook-off at the DC Waterhole was once again a huge success. The open house at Downtown Divas by Theresa was active with many new patrons visiting this new business.

Evening meals

Evening meals have begun at Cafe Fivethirtyfour, 534 Main Street, for Friday and Saturday evenings. The Cafe replaced The Chocolate Moose Cafe a few weeks ago and is expanding the menu choices.

The Gonzalas Mexican Restaurant and Bar has closed permanently. A new business, Main Street Bar and Grill, is scheduled to open on or about April 1. The restaurant will feature a game room and live music on occasion. Watch for more announcements.

The Fifth Annual Motorcycles-On-Main is set for Saturday, June 8, 4-9 p.m., in down-town Plattsmouth. We anticipate at least 400 bikers - many with passengers. Live mu-sic is on the Entertainment Plaza from 7-10pm featuring the talents of the Shadow Ridge Band.
