There was much anticipation for the reopening of Plattsmouth Keno. Refurbishing after a fire is never easy but Shari made the best of a bad situation. Plan to support this important business to welcome them back.

Main Street Awards
The Main Street State Awards night was held at the Plattsmouth Community Center last Friday with more than 60 participants. Sen. Bill Kintner was the presenter assisted by Elizabeth Chase, the Nebraska Main Street Executive Director. Awards were for 2012 and included Awards of Excellence to the City of Plattsmouth, Outstanding Public Partner, Streetscape over $50,000, and Reincsh, Slattery, Bear and Minihan Law Office for Facade Renovation over $10,000. A Main Street Interior Residential Award went to Jim & Gerry Byrk for their rental at 432 Main Street. Volunteer of the Year was presented to Harlan Seyfer, Main Street Historian, and Business of the Year to Mary and Ross Harrison of Mom’s Cafe & Catering. Local awards For Main Street Commercial Interior went to Jerry Tilson of Tilson Automotive, Main Street Facade Renovation under $10,000 to Ron Bertsch for 501 Main Street and the Main Street Special Event to the Main Street Promotions Committee for the 2011 Victorian Christmas-On-Main.
