LOUISVILLE – Angela Buglewicz has helped many people through her work at Louisville Care Community.
A state association recognized her efforts with a major scholarship at its spring convention.
Buglewicz received the 2018 RN Scholarship from the Nebraska Health Care Foundation (NHCF). The organization presents the $1,000 award to people who would like to become registered nurses in the future. Buglewicz currently serves as a licensed practical nurse at Louisville Care Community.
LCC Administrator Kari Wockenfuss said Buglewicz was deserving of the award. She said Buglewicz was a valuable employee who worked hard to help others.
“Angela takes direction from her peers and supervisors and learns new tasks quickly, and thus has grown in each position,” Wockenfuss said. “She has a desire to become a registered nurse to continue her professional growth at our facility.”
NHCF President and C.E.O. Heath Boddy said the organization was happy to help professionals in the state with financial awards.
“Nebraska is filled with people like Angela Buglewicz who are providing quality care to nursing facility and assisted living community residents every day,” Boddy said. “It is our pleasure to reward Angela Buglewicz in this way.”
NHCF was established in 1987 to help ensure there are an adequate number of trained professionals to care for residents of Nebraska nursing facilities and assisted living communities. The organization gave more than 30 scholarships during this year’s convention in Kearney.
LCC is a 61-bed facility located near the Louisville Public Schools building. Buglewicz and other staff members provide long-term care, skilled and assisted living services.
