Delores Frazier

February 8, 1924—December 20, 2017

GLENWOOD – Delores “Dode” Francis (Gradoville) Frazier peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at the Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, Iowa, having attained the age of 93 years, 10 months and 12 days.

She was born to Peter Paul and Marie J. (O’Donnell) Gradoville, Feb. 8, 1924, in Plattsmouth, Neb.

Dode was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth and she graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1942. After graduating high school, she worked at the Martin Bomber Plant on Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Neb. It was there that she met the love of her life, Henry Edward “Ed” Frazier. They were married May 27, 1943 in Burchard, Neb. and to this union three children were born. The Frazier’s made their home and raised their children in Plattsmouth. After Ed retired from the U.S. Postal Service, they moved to Burchard, Neb., where they owned and operated the Pawnee County Rod and Gun Club. In 1990 after Ed’s death, Dode moved back to Plattsmouth, where she made her home. Then due to her declining health, she lived at the Hillcrest Country Estates in Papillion, Neb. for a time and later at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, Iowa, to be near her family.

Dode was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 365 Auxiliary and Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post 2543 Auxiliary, and she was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and P.C.C.W. (Parish Council of Catholic Women) all of Plattsmouth.

She is survived by three grandsons, Ryan DeBolt of Omaha, Neb., Clinton Yaeger and wife Sarah of Glenwood, Iowa, Adam Gower of Omaha, Neb.; three great grandsons, Christian DeBolt, Marshall Yeager and Maxx Yeager; plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Dode was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Marie Gradoville; brother, Robert Gradoville; husband, Ed Gradoville Sr.; two daughters, Margo Gower and Linda DeBolt; his son, Ed Frazier Jr.; and two sisters, Geraldine Blackburn and Alice Hopkins.

Visitation was from 1 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 at Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth.

A Rosary Service was held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth.

The Funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Wed., Dec. 27, 2017 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Michael Houlihan officiating, Ken Aylor and Jim Ulrich as acolytes and Terry Little as vocalist.

The pallbearers were Ryan DeBolt, Clinton Yeager, Adam Gower, Christian DeBolt, Jerry Mikkalson and Casey Hopkins. The honorary pallbearers were Marshall Yeager and Maxx Yeager.

Her final resting place is at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth.
