PLATTSMOUTH – Plattsmouth players put themselves in a favorable position Thursday night by pinning an early lead over Elmwood-Murdock/Nehawka.
The Blue Devils secured the Senior Legion victory with solid defense the rest of the way.
Plattsmouth collected a 9-1 triumph at Blue Devil Park. The team scored three times in the first inning and padded the margin to 7-0 in the second inning. The Blue Devils added insurance runs in both the fourth and fifth frames.
Josh Aho guided Plattsmouth’s offense with a pair of hits. Draven Ray drove in two runs, Aaronn Aho had one walk and two RBI and Nathan Konkler knocked in one run. Jack Glup and Dylan Mayfield each added one walk to the team’s cause.

Riley Backemeyer and Carter Bornemeier each produced two hits for the Nationals. Bornemeier drove in the team’s run.
Jacob Davis worked all five innings for Plattsmouth on the mound. He ended the evening with seven strikeouts.
