FORT CALHOUN – Plattsmouth Junior Legion baseball players faced three Nebraska teams this weekend during the Battle at the Fort Tournament in Fort Calhoun.
Wahoo 11, Plattsmouth 6
Plattsmouth began the tournament late Saturday afternoon against Wahoo. The Warriors jumped out to a 10-0 lead after three innings and held off a late comeback attempt by Plattsmouth. The Blue Devils scored six times in the final three innings.
Quinton Denton led Plattsmouth’s offense with three runs batted in. Aaron Ickler paced Wahoo with three hits and three RBI.

Arlington 11, Plattsmouth 3
The Blue Devils squared off with Arlington late Saturday night. The Eagles changed the complexion of the game with nine runs in the bottom of the fifth. Plattsmouth had led 3-2 before Arlington’s scoring outburst.
Jehu Montes, Logan Blotzer and Adam Eggert all collected two hits for Plattsmouth. Blotzer added a pair of RBI for the team.

Twin River 13, Plattsmouth 5
Twin River gained an early lead on Plattsmouth in Sunday morning’s contest. The team produced three runs in each of the first two innings against the Blue Devils. Twin River then doubled the margin in the top of the third.
Plattsmouth engineered four runs in the fourth and added a solo run in the fifth. Kade Parriott posted two hits and Ethan Coleman drove in one run for the Blue Devils.
Plattsmouth is scheduled to resume its season Tuesday at Falls City. The team will return home Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. matchup with Nebraska City. Action will take place at Blue Devil Park.
