PAPILLION – More than $143,000 was raised recently for area non-profit organizations at the Midlands Community Foundation’s Reflection Ball.
The event was held on Jan. 19 at the Embassy Suites in LaVista.
Approximately 450 guests attended the gala, according to Diane Knicky, the foundation’s public relations director.
The net proceeds from that event will go toward funding various needs of non-profit organizations that offer programs and services to children in Sarpy and Cass counties.
Also at that gala, Tim and Terri Burke of Bellevue were honored with the 2019 Reflection Award for their community service and volunteerism.
The mission of the foundation is to benefit the diverse needs in the communities in Sarpy and Cass counties by providing financial support, involvement and service, Knicky said.
