PLATTSMOUTH – A 57-year-old woman was hospitalized from a two-vehicle accident in Cass County late Friday afternoon.

According to Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann, at approximately 5:17 p.m. deputies from his department along with Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue and Louisville Fire and Rescue responded to a two-vehicle accident at Highway 66 and 60th Street.
According to Brueggemann, Mandana Faripour, 50, of Plattsmouth, was traveling west on Highway 66 in a 2007 Toyota Corolla when the vehicle started to spin out due to slick road conditions. Faripour’s vehicle was then hit from behind by a 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by Matthew Rolfson, 18, of Plattsmouth. Teresa Rolfson was a passenger in that car.
Rolfson’s vehicle could not stop due to slick roadway and continued to slide eventually hitting Faripour’s vehicle, the sheriff said. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch. All parties were wearing seat belts and all front air bags were deployed. Teresa Rolfson was transported to a hospital, according to the sheriff.
