Lincoln Symphony Orchestra presents Ben Folds in Concert, 7:30 p.m., Lied Center for the Performing Arts, Lincoln. Junkstock features vintage finds, unique antiques, handmade artisan food and goods, live music and a free kids village. Admission is $10 per day or $20 for the weekend. Community Bingo, 2-3:30 p.m., The Heritage at Shalimar Gardens, 749 E. 29th St., Fremont. The event is free and open to the public.

National Alpaca Farm Day Weekend, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7016 County Road 39, Fort Calhoun. Visitors are invited to spend some time roaming pastures with alpacas. Admission is free.

Opening of Cobweb Castle, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Omaha Children’s Museum. The annual Halloween exhibit is an all-new experience in 2018. Children can enjoy Halloween thrills without the big scares in a castle made just for them. Cobweb Castle will continue through Oct. 31. Admission is $13 for kids and adults, $12 for seniors, and free for children under 24 months.

Drone Expo, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum, near Ashland. The drone expo includes an outdoor racing demonstration, indoor flight safety presentations, booths from experts in drone and aviation-related field, and a hands-on workshop for youth. The outdoor activities include a drone racing demonstration by Lincoln Drone Racing Club and helicopter rides by Johnson Helicopter Services. Helicopter ride reservations will be taken the day of the event starting at 9 a.m. and cost $60 per person plus tax. The indoor festivities are part of general admission ($12 for adults, $11 for seniors or military, $6 for youth ages 4-12).

Free Community Barbecue, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Fremont First Congregational Church, 1550 N. Broad St. Hot dogs, chips and water will be served. Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the fun, fellowship and free food.

Midland University Community Tailgate, 11 a.m., Heedum Field parking lot, Fremont. The pregame tailgate is part of homecoming weekend festivities. Food and drinks will be available from Huey’s Smokehouse. There also will be performances by the Midland pep band and cheer and dance teams. The Warrior football team will play the University of Jamestown at 1 p.m.

Furever Home Inc. open house, 1-4 p.m., 236 W. Sixth St., Fremont. The public is invited to meet the current adoptables, take a tour of the FurHut and see the latest renovations and upcoming projects. A hot dog/hamburger lunch will be provided.

1st Annual Rudolph’s Ride, 11 a.m., Johnson Cycle, Fremont. The event starts at Johnson Cycle at 11 a.m. (coffee and donuts provided) and ends at 4 p.m. at Izaak Walton. All vehicles are welcome. There will be a raffle, food and live music by Dylan Bloom. A new, unwrapped toy will be good for one food and one raffle ticket. Toys will be donated to The Bridge while cash donations will go to Shop With A Cop.

7 Oaks Music Festival, 3-9:30 p.m., 13302 West Center Road, Omaha. The Blues Society of Omaha features musical artists Danielle Nicole, Elektric Voodoo, Alastair Greene and Sebastian Lane Band. Bring your blankets or chairs. There will be food trucks, beer, wine and mixed drinks by Thunderhead Brewing Co., and fireworks at dark. This is an all-ages, outdoor event. Admission is free.

Fremont Beer Fest, 5-8 p.m., downtown Fremont parking garage, upper level. This is a 21 and over event. Free hamburgers will be provided by First National Bank. Admission is $15 which includes a beer mug and unlimited samples.

Hamburger night, 5:30-7 p.m., Fremont Eagles Club. Everyone is welcome.

Fremont Fall Festival, 6-9 p.m., May Brothers Building, downtown Fremont. The opening night of the festival will feature a pitch night. The festival continues through Oct. 7.
