A car fire caused minimal damage to a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am in the Fremont Mall parking lot Tuesday morning.

Capt. Tom Christensen of the Fremont Fire Department said the owner of the vehicle notice smoke coming from the dash and called the fire department at about 10:45 a.m.

An employee from Square Tire, however, used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out before firefighters arrived.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.
