Fremont Health Medical Center has announced the addition of Sarit Hovav, MD, to the medical staff.
Hovav, a psychiatrist, earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies, and completed an internal medicine internship at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York. Hovav also completed a three-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Brain Stimulation and Neuroimaging in Mental Illness at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience. She completed her psychiatry residency at Creighton University/University of Nebraska Medical Center in June of this year.
Hovav's research has appeared in several peer-reviewed journals. She has presented at numerous national conferences and is actively involved in clinical research. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Nebraska Psychiatric Society, American Medical Association, American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, American Geriatrics Society, and the American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry.
Beginning Thursday, Hovav will oversee Fremont Health’s inpatient behavioral medicine program and see patients in the outpatient behavioral medicine clinic, located at 2560 N. Healthy Way in Fremont, on a limited basis. The outpatient clinic can be reached at 402-941-7245.
