The Fremont Area Art Association will offer a Papel Picado tissue paper project kids’ art class from 1-3 p.m. Jan. 20. The class, designed for ages 7 and up, will be led by local artist, Mary Ringenberg.

Papel Picado, considered a Mexican fold art, is a decorative craft made out of paper, cut into designs. Children will use colored tissue paper to achieve this technique, and create banners and collage.
