Authorities arrested two individuals suspected of stealing a car out of Omaha following a tip from a citizen on Tuesday, according to Fremont Police.
At approximately 11 a.m. officers were dispatched to a business parking lot in the 1900 block of East Military Avenue after a citizen observed a car that matched a description of a car reported stolen in Omaha.
After arriving on the scene officers ran the vehicles license plates and confirmend that it was the car that had been reported stolen.
A short time later a male identified as Jacob B. Tuttle, 39, of Omaha exited the Dollar General store, at 1957 East Military Avenue, and approached the car.
As officers attempted to make contact with Tuttle, he fled and was detained by the officers.
Shortly after, a female identified as Anastasia L. Bell, 19, of Plattsmouth exited the Dollar General and got into the stolen car and drove it to where officers had detained Tuttle.
Officers learned that both Tuttle and Bell had outstanding arrest warrants out of Sarpy County and the pair were taken into custody.
Following their arrest, officers searched the stolen car and found drugs, including methamphetamines and marijuana, as well as numerous items that had been shoplifted from Dollar General.
Both parties were charged with theft by receiving stolen property, possession of methamphetamines, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing an officer.
