BRAINARD -- Midland captured second place last weekend in the Bulldog Sporting Classic that was hosted by Concordia University.
The Warriors finished with a 1,314 while champion Fort Hays State had a 1,392.
Midland finished second in super sport with a team score of 464 behind Fort Hays State’s 483. The Warriors were fourth in total clay with 735 points. Fort Hays State won clay with a 799.
Midland’s top five shooters for HOA were sophomore Hunter Reinig (274), junior Cole Collier (271), senior Anthony Borders (261), junior Dalton Ritchie (260), and senior Shaun Mallett (258).
Freshman Karlie Hubbard was the highest overall female scorer with a total of 256.
The Warriors have now finished second in all three team events they’ve participated in this season.
Midland will compete Saturday-Sunday in Grand Island at an event hosted by Hastings College.
