Whoever wins Friday's Nebraska Match Play final will take him to his first Nebraska Golf Association men's championship.

Omaha's Dan Huston and Aurora's Caleb Badura will face off in the event's 36-hole championship match Friday after both won their quarterfinal and semifinal matches Thursday at The Players Club in Omaha.

Huston knocked off former Husker golfer Ryan Nietfeldt 1-up in his semifinal match after needing 21 holes to outlast current Husker golfer Tanner Owen in the quarterfinals earlier in the day.

Badura, an Aurora native who just wrapped up his freshman season at Northwestern College in Iowa, defeated Grand Island's Cade McCallum, who just finished his freshman season at Iowa Western, 4 and 2 to advance to the championship. Badura took out former Fremont standout Andy Sajevic 6 and 4 in the quarterfinals.
