The Fremont Moo of the Expedition Baseball League released their 2019 schedule recently. It will be Moo’s inaugural season in the league.
The first game in franchise history is a road game on Friday, May 24, in Hastings against the Hastings Sodbusters. The home opener will be on Friday, May 31, at Moller Field against the Sodbusters.
The home opener will kick off a seven-game homestand when the Moo will play three games against the Sodbusters followed by two-game sets against the Western Nebraska Pioneers and the Hub City Hot Shots.
The schedule is highlighted by two separate seven-game road trips and a stretch when the Moo will play at home 13 out of 15 days.
June 14-20 is the first seven-game road trip as the Moo heads to Pierre, S.D., to play the Trappers for three games followed by a two-game set in Dickinson, N.D., against the Badlands Big Sticks. The trip concludes with two games in Aberdeen, S.D. to play the Hub City Hot Shots.
The second seven-game road trip begins on July 26 in Casper, Wyoming, with a four-game set against the Casper Horseheads followed by two games in Pierre, S.D. against the Trappers and then one game in Gering against the Western Nebraska Pioneers.
From July 6 through July 24, the Moo will play 13 home games. The home stretch will conclude with a visit for the first time by the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs from Minot, N.D.
The 2019 Expedition League All Star Game is set for July 16 at Corbett Field in Minot, ND. The league playoffs are scheduled for Aug. 7-11.
