All Star Auctions is a mom-and-pop shop in Fremont, where you can shop for items big or small at steep discounts. Shoppers feel the excitement here, as they never know what they’ll find on auction from week to week.
Here’s a Q&A with All Star Auctions co-owner Laura Love.
How did your business get started?
My husband used to take me to auctions and I would call them “the old dusty auctions.” Then one day he came home and told me I needed to see something exciting. It was an auction, and it was online.
At first, I was reluctant. But it didn’t take me long before my eyes lit up. He showed me that new, fashionable, trendy items were available for online auction. A few months later, my husband suggested that we open our own auction. It took us only a few months and we were up and running. It hasn’t always been easy, but it is always fun.
What makes your store/service unique?
We are unique because this is truly the most exciting way to shop. You get to purchase items with huge savings. People come up with strategies for bidding, and you watch that item daily and get that last bid in and finally it’s yours. And it’s truly a win!
We also have a great retail space. These items are always priced to sell, maybe not as exciting as the auction, but we always have something to catch your eye.
Do you have anyholiday promotions or events?
Our holiday auctions, specifically the Christmas auctions, are very popular. We have items from e-bikes, blow-up glamping tents, cameras and even a hunting scope. But customers can also find things like clothing and laundry soap and phone chargers. You name it, we probably have it!
We like to pride ourselves with great customer service. We are always willing to answer questions and we’ll help carry your treasures to your car.
