Goodwill to celebrate Halloween with free events at Gateway Mall
Goodwill and Gateway Mall are collaborating for another spook-tacular Halloween and offering three free events to the Lincoln community.
Sunday, October 18 | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. | Make & Take Workshop
Spend a fun afternoon with Goodwill creating spook-tacular ghosts and scarecrows. All items will be supplied for you, thanks to Goodwill’s Bits and Pieces section that meets all crafting needs from jewelry to utensils and ribbon to glue. No preregistration required.
Note: This craft uses tools like scissors and hot glue guns; please be cautious. Adult supervision for children is strongly encouraged.
Saturday, October 24 | 2:15 p.m. | Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest
Enter your four-legged friend in Goodwill’s pet costume contest. We’re looking for the most creative costumes for pets, and DIY costumes are highly encouraged. All participants must register onsite between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. outside of Victoria’s Secret. Runway show for judging will begin at 2:15. Judges will pick winners for a special prize package. All pets in attendance must be on leash at all times. Enter the center through the northwest entrance by LensCrafters.
Saturday, October 31 | 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. | Candy Crawl Indoor Trick or Treat
Happy Halloween. Participating Gateway stores will be handing out treats to kids ages 12 and under. At 6 p.m., Goodwill will host a costume contest behind Scooter’s, and judges will pick winners for a special prize package. No preregistration required for trick or treat. Preregistration required for costume contest; sign up on the day of the event between 5 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. at the Goodwill table behind Scooter’s.
