Pottawattamie County's Wellness Committee is encouraging employees and community members to help support local students through its Summer Hygiene Drive, running now through July 17.
All donated items will benefit students in the Council Bluffs Community School District by helping provide access to essential personal care products during the upcoming school year.
Items needed for donation
Items currently being collected include:
Shampoo and conditioner
Deodorant
Body wash
Laundry detergent
Sanitary products and discreet carrying pouches
Hair care items, including detanglers, hair ties, bows, clips, brushes, combs, and picks
"Access to basic hygiene products can make a meaningful difference in a student's confidence, comfort, and ability to focus on learning," said Felica Luczek, Chief Deputy Medical Examiner Investigator and Wellness Committee member. "Through this drive, we're inviting our employees and community members to come together to support local students and help ensure they have the essentials they need for a successful school year."

Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office – 1400 Big Lake Road, Council Bluffs

Pottawattamie County Courthouse Lobby – 227 S 6th St, Council Bluffs
